What do you guys think that the relationship between Huck and Jim is? Is it a positive and good relationship, or is it more on the negative end? It seems to be different at different times. Sometimes, such as many times on the raft, they seem to have a friendly relationship. However, other times, they seem to have more of an indifferent attitude toward each other.
I think that Huck and Jim are friends but it is more negative for Jim. I think that Huck seems to take advantage of Jim and does not let him have any say in anything (like when they encounter the steam boat). Also, Huck always pulls pranks on Jim then does not apologize. But then, Jim seems to like the friendship because he may not know any better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sally because it never talked before about Jim being friends with anyone and it is as if they're becoming like a family and it shows how much Jim cares for Huck in chapter 15 when he noticed that he was alive and how hurt he was when Huck played that trick on him.
