Twains Purpose?

What did you guys learn from Twain? I mean. how might have people reacted when they read this book? I learned a lot about the time period this was written in...but also have some doubts about how much Twain  exaggerated...But overall I think that Twain had such a good purpose on writing this story. He wanted to teach people. What do you guys thin??

  1. I didn't learn much about the time period because the story was scientifically inaccurate. It's as if Twain was writing this book only for the intelligence for the people back in that time period and not for the future. Because there were parts that I was like this would never happen. I don't know this book just bothers me.

    1. I agree with Nicole. The morality of the story is good where Jim (black people) is being portrayed as an intelligent and sufficient human being. The story may seem illogical but the purpose of the story was to show some sort of equality between whites and blacks.
